About Us

What ZippyMap actually is

ZippyMap is a classifieds-style platform for local service ads — nothing more. It exists to help neighbours find one another: someone who needs a job done, and someone nearby who can do it.

A noticeboard, not an agency

We provide the space to post and browse local job ads. We are not a staffing agency, not an employer, and not a party to any agreement made between users.

No vetting, no background checks

We do not verify who posts an ad or who responds to one. Anyone can post. That is why checking one another out yourself matters — see our Guidelines below.

No payments through the app

ZippyMap does not process, hold, or guarantee any payment. However you and the other person choose to handle payment is a matter between the two of you.

Guidelines

Using ZippyMap safely

Because anyone can post or respond to a listing, verifying who you are dealing with is entirely your responsibility. Please follow these guidelines before agreeing to any job.

Verify identity before you commitAsk for a full name, phone number, and government ID if it is a paid job. Do not rely on the app profile alone.

Ask for proof of skill or work historyFor skilled work, request references, past work samples, or relevant certificates before hiring.

Meet in safe, public conditions firstFor an initial meeting, prefer a public or well-lit place, or have someone accompany you.

Never pay large amounts upfrontBe cautious of anyone requesting full payment, deposits, or personal financial information before work has begun.

Report suspicious ads or usersIf something appears to be a scam, do not engage — report it to us at the email below so the listing can be reviewed and removed.

ZippyMap is only a platform for posting and discovering service listings. We are not responsible for the conduct, honesty, identity, or quality of work of any user — poster or provider. If a user is misled, scammed, or a deal between two users goes wrong, that dispute is between those users. Always complete your own verification — ID, KYC, references, proof of work — before agreeing to any job or payment.

What we collect

To operate the app, we collect your phone number for sign-in, the content of ads you post — title, description, photos, price, and location — and your approximate device location so nearby listings can be shown to you.

How we use it

To sign you in and keep your account secure.
To display listings near your location, and to show your listing to others nearby.
To send notifications about new posts and account activity.
To respond to support requests sent to our contact email.

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We do not verify or store identity documents exchanged between users off-platform — any ID or KYC information you share with another user is shared directly between the two of you, not through us.
We do not process payments, so we never see or store your payment details.

Your choices

You may edit or delete your listings at any time from "My Ads." To request deletion of your account and associated data, please write to us — see Contact Us below.

ZippyMap is a listing platform where users post and browse local service ads. We provide the app and its hosting; we are not a party to any agreement, job, or payment made between users.

No liability for user conduct

We do not guarantee the identity, intentions, honesty, skill, or reliability of any user, whether posting an ad or responding to one. Any interaction, agreement, payment, or job carried out between users is entirely at their own risk. ZippyMap is not responsible or liable for any loss, scam, dispute, injury, or damage resulting from a connection made through the app.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for verifying anyone you deal with — ID, KYC, references, proof of work — before agreeing to any job or payment.
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of any ad you post.
You must not use ZippyMap to post fraudulent, illegal, or misleading listings.

Account and content

We may remove listings or suspend accounts that violate these terms, appear fraudulent, or are reported by other users. You retain ownership of content you post, but grant us the right to display it within the app.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use of ZippyMap after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
